Dancehall fans are eagerly anticipating today’s Privy Council ruling in the appeal of the murder conviction of Vybz Kartel aka World Boss. Among them is reggae artiste Lila Iké who promises to walk naked outside if Vybz Kartel is freed.

She tweeted, “Anyhow me wake up tomorrow and hear say Wurl boss free me a run out a door naked.”

The Judicial Committee indicated that the ruling will be delivered Thursday starting at 11 a.m. Jamaica time.

The ruling will be livestreamed.

During the appeal hearing, held over two days from February 14, the Law Lords raised questions around the judge’s decision to continue the trial after it was revealed that a member of the jury pool had offered a bribe to the foreman to swing the verdict in favour of Kartel.

It is expected to be the main issue influencing their decision.
