Kabaka Pyramid has won the best reggae album at the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California for his album, The Kalling.

His sophomore project, was one of the five albums nominated in the best reggae album category for the annual Grammy Awards.

All other four albums nominated in the best reggae album category were Jamaican artistes.

Koffee’s Gifted; Protoje’s Third Time’s The Charm; Sean Paul’s Scorcha, and Shaggy’s Come Fly Wid Mi rounded out the shortlist.

Last year’s award was won by US based band Soja.
