In 2011, Arison scored with the Overproof riddim which spawned hits such as Mavado’s Settle Down, Daniel Beddingfield’s Sometimes You Just Know, Tifa’s Dash Out and Khago’s Tun Up Di Ting to the airwaves. That riddim catapulted Arison and the late Patrick ‘Roach’ Samuels into the limelight. Arison”s followup, the Overdrive riddim, attracted the attention of several US artistes and spawned the Mavado single ‘Give It All To Me’ featuring Nicki Minaj. US music personalities Birdman, Drake and Rihanna all tweeted endorsements about Give It All To Me.
Arison jumped to artiste Mavado’s defence as Mavado was one of those artistes that Foota Hype attempted to style during an interview a few weeks ago.
“Him a try style Gully Gadd and seh him nah nuh engine yet Mavado and Kartel are still the two biggest artiste a road and Mavado a drop hit after hit same way locally and internationally. Foota hurt and jealous and a try carry down people inna the pit weh him dig for himself. Me feel like a fool fi even put energy towards it but me jus a stand up fi mi self after all the years of fight the man give me,” Arison said.
