“I am really looking forward to this event, I know that the fans are really feeling my ‘Need Love’ and ‘Restraining Order’ singles and I will be going all out to please them,” Ishawna told LOOP.
The stage show — which had its genesis in 1999 — was discontinued by the security forces after the unrest of May 2010 which saw 73 civilians losing their lives. Three members of Jamaica’s security forces also lost their lives in the operation. An inquiry in that incident is currently under way at Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston.
Scheduled for a 7:00 pm start, Sunday’s performances include dancehall acts Sizzla, I-Octane, Bugle, Elephant Man, Christopher Martin, Beenie Man, and George Nooks.
