The station began transmitting to Broward, Dade and parts of Palm Beach County in South Florida on November 1.

“This is something that has been in the pipeline for a very, very, long time. We began transmission in South Florida and will do the same in New York soon. It is a very exciting time for us,” said George Walker, manager, International Expansion of HYPE TV.

HYPE TV was officially launched in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1999.v
