Constable Jerome Myers of St Andrew South PIU was shot and injured in the Greenwich Farm Third Street area a short while ago.

He was on patrol giving some support in the space when a team of young men open fire on the police team.

He was shot in the region of the chest. He was wearing a bullet proof vest and it seem to has absurd the bullet.

He appeared to have been also shot in one of his legs .

He is currently being treated at KPH.
