A bus driver  is lucky to be alive after he was shot on Tuesday morning during an altercation with a police officer in Spalding, Clarendon.

A video clip which went viral today shows the driver in what appears to be heated discussion with the policeman. He then shoves the cop and advanced towards him in an aggressive manner.

The policeman pulled his firearm and shot the driver, who was still advancing in the direction of the sergeant. The incident sparked a protest by residents and bystanders in the town.

The Bureau of Special investigations and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) are probing the matter.
