“They were throwing bottles at the cops, they want more Alkaline in Suriname, he is hot over here. We had 7000 people in the park and they came to see Alkaline, it is his first time here, he was the main act.”

Truys admitted that there was a fight in the crowd and that Alkaline cursed onstage but countered that was not the main reason for the bottling.

“The expletive about the mother did not upset them. Alkaline even dissed up the Surinamese band that was backing him, but that was only for about 10 seconds, and that was between the artiste and the band. All the fans are asking for him to come back because they did not get enough of him,” Truys said.
