Toni -Ann Singh, Miss Jamaica World 2019, won the fast-track talent competition at the 69th staging of the Miss World pageant currently under way in London, England.
Singh, who sang a rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing, is now an automatic Top 40 finalist for Saturday’s grand coronation at the ExCeL, London. She is slated to perform a live rendition of the song during the final.
This is the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant.
Rikkiya Brathwaite, Miss British Virgin Islands, finished in the top 5 of the competition. She won the sports fast-track competition last week. Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Tya Jane Ramey, was second runner-up in that competition. Ramey is a top 10 finalist in the model competition.
Jamaica has won the competition on three occasions: 1963 – Carole Joan Crawford; 1976 – Cindy Breakspeare; and 1993 – Lisa Hanna.
One hundred and eleven delegates from around the world are competing for the Miss World crown.
