Man killed over use of clothes line

A Jamaican male, 20 year-old Jordan Cilburn was allegedly  stabbed and killed by a young woman in the Gregory Park area of St Catherine - in the use of a clothes line.  

The murder trial of dancehall artiste Munga Honorebel was transferred to the Supreme Court yesterday during a committal hearing. The dancehall artiste, who is being represented by Christopher Townsend, is charged for the murder of Cleveland Smith, who was shot and killed on February 12, 2017.

A businessman and his wife were killed in Clarendon yesterday evening.

Reggae singer Luciano is getting justice by degrees, a slow but sure process as one of the three boys charged following last February’s fatal stabbing of his son, Menelik McClymont. The teenager who committed the act is to be sentenced in the Home Circuit Court on April 21.

Triple murder in Thompson Pen, Spanish Town

A triple murder has rocked war-torn Spanish Town and its environs. The police are now processing the scene of a triple killing along the Sligoville main road in the Thompson Pen community near Spanish Town, St Catherine during daring noon-time attack by armed gunmen.

Detectives assigned to the Major Investigations Division have formally charged 40-year-old Marvin Campbell, otherwise called ‘Fat Man’, of Spanish Town, St Catherine, with five counts of murder.

Nine detainees, including four who were anted for gun-related crimes and murder, escaped this morning from the Denham Town police lock-up in west Kingston.

Love, struggling relationships and cops are a deadly Molotov cocktail that has led to several murder suicides in the past decade. The latest incident involved a couple in Short Hill in St Elizabeth, where a female resident and her lover, an ex-policeman, are now dead after an apparent murder-suicide.
