Plane crashed in Greenwich Farm

Three persons died in a small plane crash this afternoon. The small plane reportedly crashed into a house on Greenwich Avenue in the Greenwich Farm area of Kingston.

Businessman Patrick Powell has been freed of all charges related to the 2011 shooting death of 17-year-old Khajeel Mais. The incident trigged a virtual firestorm on Twitter where some irate users likened the case to the infamous shooting case of Trayvon Martin in the United States. 

Nine detainees, including four who were anted for gun-related crimes and murder, escaped this morning from the Denham Town police lock-up in west Kingston.

Miss Cleo, the psychic with the faux Jamaican accent, who was the centre of a popular cult ad campaign in the nineties, is now dead. In  the 90s, she was a pitchwoman for the Psychic Readers Network before it closed down.

The police have confirmed that Delus, the brother of recording artiste Konshens, has killed himself in an apparent act of suicide.
