Albert Minott of Jolly Boys is dead

  Jamaica has lost another unique part of its heritage as Albert Minott, lead singer of the Portland-based mento band Jolly Boys, has passed away. He was 79. The singer's manager Jon Baker, owner and operator of Geejam Hotel and record label, confirmed his death via his Facebook page. 

  Dancehall star Macka Diamond has waded into the controversy surrounding Ishawna's Equal Rights' with a song provocatively entitled 'No Tongue'.

Tom Tavares-Finson, lawyer for incarcerated dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, is  pleased about  the decision by a Court of Appeal judge to grant him leave to appeal his murder conviction and life sentence.
