Police officers trying to get in touch with a popular entertainer and a female believed to be his sister have failed in their attempts so far.

In a statement Tuesday evening, January 29 the police said the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has commenced investigations into the video.

It said: “In the video, a woman is seen with what appeared to be a firearm, which she handed over to another man, who is believed to be a local entertainer.”

The police release added that detectives made checks at different locations with which the entertainer is associated “in order to assist with the investigations. However, he was not found.”

The entertainer and the woman depicted in the video are being sought as persons of interest as investigators believe they can assist with the investigations.

The probe had been launched earlier this week after a video began making the rounds on social media. The eight-second clip shows a scantily-clad woman playing with an object, resembling a firearm, before handing it to the entertainer.

Inside sources say that the video was recorded last year. Someone put the video on their FaceTime and someone grabbed the video and blasted it all over social media. The gun may be a prop gun, but no one can tell for sure.
