Dancehall star Mavado goes in hard with 'Mr. Dead', making allegations of "Fagiesha Palmer inna #2 cell" and suggests that he is buying Kartel's kids ice-cream and a bagga tings. The track splices in segments of a Kartel-penned letter read by Mutabaruka on air which mention "a number 2 cell". The track sees Mavado teaming up with Stephen Mcgregor on the Horror Nights riddim.

Incarcerated dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has racked up 660,000 views in only four days with his diss track titled ‘Round Corna’ aimed at Mavado.
Reggae artiste Nature Ellis has announced his departure from Down Sound Records, the second artiste in the last three months, to leave the independent label. He sent out an abrupt whatsapp message saying: "I am no longer a member of Down Sound Records; matters beyond my control".

The death of the rising track star drew condolences and sympathy messages on social media from the local track and high school athletics community, community leaders, international track stars and others. Friends and those who knew Trinity expressed their grief. Here is a sampling of that reaction: Online reports said 15-year-old Trinity Gay died after a shooting at a Lexington restaurant. Gay died from her injuries just before 5 am on Sunday. Lexington police say they responded to a call of shots fired at the Cook Out restaurant on South Broadway just before 4 am.
