Show promoter Tommy Thompson is upset that Digicel Rising Star winner Shuga has knocked his handling of her career and sought to embarass him with her recent statements in a national newspaper.

"I invested in her, I got her into the best studios such as Mixing Lab, and I even built a personal studio for her on Lady Musgrave for her to record. All the songs now being played on the radio were recorded by me on my label along with Sheek Connection so I don't know what her problem is," an irate Tommy Thompson told one876entertainment.com

"I gave her room and board in Kingston, and was about to make another significant investment in a music video when I approached her to sign a contract and then I got a negative reaction. She brought nothing to the table, she could not even pay her fare from Montego Bay to Kingston...all the respect that she has got in the streets is because of her association with me," Thompson said.

"It is a fact that most artistes are just ungrateful, I spent several hours away from my business, trying to get her out there, getting her to record over 10 songs, and this is the thanks I get? These artistes are terrible, they don't respect investors and they
don't respect contracts," he said.
