Reggae Queen says "I never used any swear words on TV" Featured

DJ Reggae Queen did not take home this year's Magnum Kings and Queens contest as expected last night, surprising her legion of fans who had come to the venue to witness her take the crown.


She congratulated the winner, Bumpa, but said that she felt that she had been robbed.

"I did not use any swear words during my performance. The part that was beeped out was when I said 'dutty gal'," she said.

"Mi no feel no way about the whole thing because mi know say ah me win. I was the best. Is like dem waan Jamaica to feel that I had violated the rules of the contest, and had been disqualified...so there was no need to vote for me. But I never cursed, after mi no stupid."

Reggae Queen is billed to peform at the upcoming Settlement show on June 12th at the Kingston Polo Club.
