Congrats to dancehall artiste Popcaan who won the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act during the awards ceremony at the Leeds’ First Direct Arena in London.  

 

Popcaan beat out other nominees, including Chronixx, Stylo G, Protégé, and OMI.  This was Popcaan’s fourth nomination.

Popcaan scored big with his 2014 collaborative single ‘Kisses for Breakfast’ with British singer Melissa Steel reached number 10 on the British pop chart.

The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin) 'recognises artistes of any ethnicity or nationality performing black music'.
