Annually, on Jamaica's Independence Day, August 6, thousands of people converge in Ocho Rios to be part of the much- anticipated Ocho Rios Seafood Festival.  In its fifth year, the festival is the premier calendar event for the town of Ocho Rios.

In subsequent years, the festival, with its family oriented theme, has grown from its humble start to arguably one of the biggest culinary shows in the country.  This event will see some of Jamaica's leading seafood chefs displaying mouth-watering seafood, classic car show, arts & crafts festival, 5K crab crawl and amusement rides for kids of all ages.  In addition, there will be other top entertainment throughout the day (fashion shows, dance contests, comic relief featuring some of the island's top comedians), culminating of course with a huge stage show, which will feature several reggae superstars.
