Once again, it appears that there is a conspiracy afoot between the prosecution and investigating cops to keep Vybz Kartel locked behind bars. When the deejay was first arrested, there was talk of video evidence of  Clive 'Lizard' WIlliams being beaten, and tortured with the help of two attack dogs. However, once the defence requested the video evidence, that claim 'magically' disappeared.
Last week, the senior prosecutor Jeremy Taylor read excerpts of the texts in court which suggest that Kartel is a bonafide flight risk.
"If mi haffi leave the island fast you assist me? You have a link to mek mi leave the island fast?" read an alleged text by Kartel.
Response: "Yea, by boat."
The conversation hinted that the archipelago of The Bahamas and nearby Cuba were discussed as possible ports of entry.
"Mi no waa wait 'til things get hot...," Kartel is reported to have said in another text.
According to Taylor, the texts trail was found in Kartel's phone when he was arrested at the end of September 2011 at a hotel in Kingston.
Is this true or yet another ploy by the prosecution to prevent Kartel from getting bail??
