Last evening, Manifesto Jamaica relaunched its Art'ical Exposure series of events at the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston.

Though late afternoon showers hindered the slated 6pm start, the evening of poetry eventually got under way by 9pm and featured a cadre of young, burgeoning Jamaican lyricists and wordsmiths, including Lady C, Ayala, Yashika Graham, Dexter Malawi and Kai Falconer, with emcee Simone Simpson.

Manifesto Jamaica is an organisation whose mantle is educating, exposing and empowering Jamaican youths through the Arts, namely the visual, performing (dance, drama, music, poetry), martial and culinary arts. The youth-led organisation first came on the scene last year, spearheading several arts-based community programs throughout the island and launching a weekend long festival of the arts.
The Art'ical Exposure series is their monthly fundraiser and the build up to their annual festival of the arts, which will be held this November.
