Dancehall star Macka Diamond has the hottest single in Jamaica as her breakout 'Dye Dye' single has hit the number one position on three charts in Jamaica and the Caribbean. The single has held the #1 spot on the ER dancehall top ten charts for two consecutive weeks and the Wave Top 20 Caribbean Countdown, and has held the top spot on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts for the last three weeks. The single is also in the top five of the Jamaica Music Countdown charts, the Stampede Street charts and the BBC 1 Xtra dancehall charts.
"Dye Dye is perhaps my biggest hit to date because it has gone to #1 in the Caribbean, in Jamaica and ethnic charts in Canada and the USA. Right now, my management is talking to music labels who want to get behind the single to push it in the USA, so we can get that mainstream play on the top radio stations over there and get on the Billboard charts," she said. In the meantime, she is pushing her latest single, Twist Me, which is now bubbling on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts. The video for the single was released last week.
