Macka Diamond's combination, Flashing Lights, with Trinidadian performer Jahmoun is one of the hottest singles in this year's Groovy Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad. You can listen to the song at this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?7bi31i2x66lo4x8

Macka Diamond had high praises for the Cocorite native Jahmoun who moonlights as a sales co-ordinator in the circulation department at the Trinidad Guardian.

"Right now, the song ah give Machel Montana and the top acts in Trinidad a run for their money, I may even
have to fly to Trinidad this week to perform the song with him because he is a semi-finalist in the contest," she said.

Jahmoun first exploded onto the scene as an artiste in August last year. He initially experimented with hip-hop alongside veteran local rap artiste, Tim Starr with a track entitled Turn It Up, But then Jahmoun, who is also a radio mic man at Boomchampions 94.1FM, felt the energy of an industry new to him, and immediately took a liking.

From that point, his focus on music heightened and putting pen to paper before Carnival, Jahmoun came up with Flashing Lights.

“The song isn’t geared at women who have big butts,” he said in an interview.

He recorded the track at Madmen Production studios in San Juan and with writing assistance rendered by HD family member, Zan Fezeck, he delivered a very catchy tune that immediately got the attention of radio men across the country.
