Due to overwhelming demand, Tad's Record released Pon Di Gaza Mi Sey to retail stores on October 28th. Originally released digitally as Pon Di Gaza under Dancehall superstar Adidja 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer's then newly formed Adidjahiem Records in 2009, the album generated significant buzz among his loyal fan base, but failed to make a major impact due to the label's inexperience. With the Kartel 'boom' of the past two years, Tad's Record is once again giving music fans the 'ultimate Reggae experience' with this limited addition collector's item CD, in major retail chains and mom & pop stores last Friday.

Pon Di Gaza Mi Sey contains all of the original Pon Di Gaza tracks with some fresh new mixes and additional material. The majority of the songs were written in 2008 while Palmer was under investigation as a person of interest in a murder investigation - he was arrested, questioned, and released without charges. Meanwhile, Palmer's public persona Vybz Kartel was still and struggling to find his voice as an independent artist, after his unceremonious departure from the Bounty Killer-led Alliance. Soul-searching singles like "Tear Drops," "Can't Frame Me," "Yeah Though I Walk," "For Love," "Bail For Me" and the #1 single "Life We Living" were all written during a four-day stretch in his home's washroom.

"I was going through a lot of stuff at that time. Even in the music where Vybz Kartel was trying to find back himself, trying to reinvent myself and find back the perfect formula that I am using now," Palmer said to journalist Rob Kenner in September 2009. "No matter what else is happening in life, I always concentrate on music and use it to blow off steam - to keep sane."

"We planned the release of 'Pon Di Gaza Mi Sey' quite a while ago with Vybz Kartel," says Tad's Record CEO Tad Dawkins. "The parallel between his life when the album was written and his situation now is uncanny. But this proves that Vybz Kartel will weather any storm; he's a very resilient person."

Pon Di Gaza Mi Sey was released to stores on Friday, October 28th. For more information, contact Tad's Record (Miami) at 305-654-6130 orTad's Record (Kingston) at 876-929-2563 or visit www.tadsrecord.com.
