Why is Bounty Killer's ganja case still lingering? It just adds to the raft of criminal charges against the deejay who has been on a bit of a resurgence in the last six months. However, these charges hovering over his head by purple thunderheads on a rainy day must be affecting his ability to secure a US work permit and cash in on the recent bump in his popularity

In 2010, Alliance boss Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Pryce was arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend with a hammer and an electric insect swatter. He denied the allegations and eventually a no order was made in the assault case. Back in 2009, he was also charged with possession of marijuana, and as the first month of January 2012 draws to a close, that case still lingers. He last appeared in court  on November 19, 2011 to answer to those charges.
Bounty Killer and his co-accused Calvin Bowen are also before the Gun Court on the charges of illegal possession of a firearm, assault at common law and unlawful wounding. The police had reported that on September 27, 2007, Bounty Killer and a group of men assaulted an off-duty policeman along St Lucia Avenue in New Kingston.
