Insight Records artiste Konfydence soared to #1 on the CVM Hitlist charts this week with her breakout song, Some Bwoy a Bait. YOU CAN BOOK HER AT 367-8729

Last month, the STAR published a story that screamed 'Wife Beats Hubby For Male Friends', the topic became a popular discussion on Twitter and Facebook with a few persons posting the youtube video of Magnum Kings and Queens contestant, Konfydence as fodder for discussion.
In the STAR story, a woman was hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on allegations that she beat her estranged husband because he was accommodating his male friends. "I never even saw the article myself, but I saw something on Facebook about it, and I laughed because it is funny how life imitates art and vice versa. It shows say dem tings de a gwaan inna our society," she said.
The Insight Records recording artiste said that some men have an issue with her song because it describes an abusive relationship between a man and a woman with the woman being the aggressor.
"Some guys approach me and say I must do over the song and change it because dem no like it. But I just laugh because is not every man mi a talk, who the cap fit, mek dem wear it. The real men stop me in the street and give me forwards because they know several other men who are going through a similar situation," she said.
Konfydence, who placed third in this year's Magnum Kings and Queens contest, reiterated that she does not advocate domestic violence in relationships.
Konfydence appears on the Jimmy Ricks-produced 'Bait' riddim which also features Turbo Blacks and Mr. Kool a.k.a Night Dew. In the meantime, the video is in excellent rotation on HYPE, RE, CVM Plus, CVM Hitlist and E PLUS.
