After a successful European tour with his father, Gramps Morgan, singer Jemere will be turning his attention towards the release of his debut EP, @iamjemere later this year. The Dada Son Entertainment recording artiste Jemere Morgan returned to the island recently to amp up promotion of his latest single, Neighbourhood Girl.
The single, “Neighborhood Girl,” is reminiscent of John Holt’s 1982 single “Sweetie Come Brush Me”, and perfectly showcases Jemere’s smooth melodic voice. Released last year, the song peaked at #2 on the reggae charts in Sweden, and hit the top ten of South Florida reggae charts.
"That was a great look and since then, the single has been getting some buzz. Four stations in Hawaii are now playing the single, the video played on MTV in the United States and the video will be getting some spins on local stations here," he said.
He will be releasing his debut EP, @IAMJEMERE this Summer, with several singles recorded with A-Team Music’ producer, Stanley “Rellee” Hayden. The album will be released on the Dada Son Entertainment/A Team labels. He is crafting a sound which is a sweet fusion of pop, R & B and reggae.
