Live MB Music recording artiste, Jay Prince, recently recorded a single, 'Serenity', with Joey Brooks, the sister of international superstar Mavado.
"I love working with Joey Brooks, she is a very good singer and as her confidence grows, she can only get better. We have great chemistry together, and the response to the song has been excellent. We did an interview on HITZ FM last week with Roderick Howell and the public gave it a great endorsement," he said.
The two artistes shot a video for the 'Serenity' project in Portland two weeks ago. The video, directed by Ramon Lindsay, will be released this week.
"The video is incredible, everyone is going to love it," Joey Brooks said.
With the approach of Mother's Day this weekend, Jay Prince has been busy promoting his latest single, 'Fi Mama', in the streets. The song is a stirring tribute to mothers everywhere who oftentimes are sole breadwinners for their struggling families.
"This is an important song for me, and I feel great that the response has been incredible so far. Mi do interviews on RJR, and Newstalk Radio, and whenever the song is played, the people dem love it," Jay Prince said.
A video, directed by Ramon Lindsay, was also released for the project this week and is now in rotation on major video networks. The song is distributed by Hapilos 21st Digital Distribution.
The 21-year-old, who once pushed a handcart to support himself in downtown Kingston, first captivated the imagination of the public with Concrete Jungle. He has continued down that path with singles such as My Life and Eternal Love, which went number-one on HYPE TV's VTX chart.
Jay Prince will be embarking on a six week promotional tour of Europe this Summer.
