Reggae-dancehall artiste Jahvinci released his new mix CD titled “In My Life”: The Documentary this week to enthusiastic responses from reggae fans locally and internationally.
“I did this mixtape to give my fans a more intimate and unique insight into who I am and shows the process I go through to make my songs, because my life is my art, and my art is my life,” Jahvinci said in a release.
Previously, Jahvinci had released a mixtape dubbed “Braaling” which showcased a more hardcore side of the artiste’s personality.
However, The Documentary takes a more novel approach and is in fact an audio version of the artiste’s life. This mixtape features more soul searching songs radio hits such as ‘Mama Love’, his number one chart –burner ‘ In My Life’ and new tracks such as ‘All When’, ‘Mama Don’t Cry’ and ‘Tower Of Strength’ which was produced by Cashflow Records.
According to Manager Craige “Dallasign” Fullwood, Jahvinci really opens up to tough questions about his life and his answers will intrigue his legion of fans.
“Fans can expect some, if not all, questions about the artiste to be answered, as the mix has inserts of the artiste’s interviews conducted by Marsha “lee lee” Stewart. The Mix is geared at giving fans an insight and a personal connection of the artiste’s life”. Due to the high expectations surrounding this mixtape, the project was crafted by the talented Shane “DJ Metro” Taylor who is also a part of his road management team,” Mr. Fullwood said.
