HEMP HIGHER & ONE MOTION MUSIC are proud to present one of Jamaica's most amazing young talents: MASICKA   His new video: "Why mi a work" (shot and edited by SHORT FILMZ JAMAICA) premiered this evening on Jamaica's well known entertainment show "Up & Live" on HYPE TV (www.hypetvjam.com).

The track was first released this summer in europe on HEMP HIGHER's "Evolution Riddim" (which is featured on DJ KENNY's latest mixture: Cultural Lovers mix Nov 2012) and has been getting solid airplay worldwide.

MASICKA's "Why mi ah work"  is a song which anyone who has ever struggled in life will be able to relate to, wether it's your 9-5 employee or street hustler, everyone has reached a moment or another in their life when they ask themselves that question.

The tune focusses on the hardships of life and the obstacles which are thrown on our everyda path - and that no matter how hard it may seem - we must always "Give thanks for life"!

Whereas the fans are used to hearing MASICKA's lyrical energy on banging dancehall and hiphop influenced instrumentals, this song perfectly illustrates the versatility and talent of this promising young artist as he easily delivers on this sweet one-drop riddim!

It's a must have for all real reggae dj's!
