Famous Twenty is igniting the streets with a brand new dancehall sound.
Swaggerific dance moves, unique fashion taste, and crowd pleasing lyrics Famous Twenty (aka Cary O’Connor) was born on September 25, 1981 in Kingston, JA. Raised by both parents Georgia Ellis and Courtney O’Connor in Kingston 12 (also known as Trench Town), music has always been apart of his everday life. Coming from one of Jamaicas largest musical backgrounds in Jamica, other than the Marleys, the name Ellis is one to be reckoned with in Reggae music. Being grandson to the late great Reggae Legend Alton Ellis, Famous Twenty grew up seeing his grandfather doing radio interviews and recording sessions, it inspired him to further be apart of music. But even watching his Grandfather, Mother and other artist it didn’t captivate him as much as dancing!! “Dancing and sports was my fascination growing up…..but music has always been apart of me from since about age 11. I was always singing at school concerts and in the living room with my mom when family came over….”. Seeing his mother sing all the time was a big part of his motivation, keeping him inspired to dance and do the music that was so deep rooted in his family.
