Five accused men who appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court on simple larceny and receiving stolen property were remanded when they appeared before RM Natalie Brooks.

Allegations are that in February of this year the men went to a Supermart that has an outlet for Supreme Ventures in Old Braeton and hid until the mart closed for business. They then accessed the cash pot office and printed tickets valued at $2 million.

An investigation was launched and Felix Sutherland, Conroy Cameron, Tameko Singleton, Andre Reid and another man arrested and charged.

When they appeared in court recently, they asked if their bail could be reduced. When RM Brooks enquired, she was told that their first bail offer was $2.5 million, it was then reduced to $1 million. Their bail offer now stands at $600,000. This, the judge outlined, could not be reduced any further.

They will again appear in court on September 15, 2015.
