Bonafide's 'Sold Out' album set to launch on March 28th Featured

US-based reggae band Bonafide is ready to officially launch their long awaited debut album entitled "Sold Out” today at Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston. There will also be a second launch party on Saturday March 31st at Pier 1 Montego Bay.
 
 
Both events will feature reggae stars Busy Signal, Etana and Hawaiian superstar -Fijiwho are some of the artistes onthe album. Bonafide will be in Jamaica from March 16th - April 1st on a press tour and then the band will return to Las Vegas for further promotions.
 
According to the band’s publicist Ra-Umi Alkebu-lan, the launch will serve as a platform to launch the band on to the international stage.
 
“The Band is surrounded by a competent team of key music industry professionals which have every intent on making them another huge Band from Jamaica. So the sky’s the limit for the Band as their music is now reaching a global audience, which augurs well for them and no doubt a force to reckon as they are striving to achieve superstardom,” he said.
 
A planned high quality red carpet production with a full performance from the band for the media and their fans will deliver songs such as the recent #1 hit single, "Leaving Come the Morning" ft Vybz Kartel on the label Amibug Group, the first released single which entered the charts in November 2011 and climbed to #1 in 2012, holding that spot for 4 weeks.
 
This highly anticipated double album contains 24 tracks and also features - Damian “Jr Gong” Marley on the song “Start & Stop.” Marley’s impressive reggae resume and his work with the rock super group Super Heavy, which featured Mick Jagger, solidifies the professional buzz surrounding this track.

I am honored to be working with them after knowing them for years we've built a great chemistry and now we have put together a winning team of professionals to elevate them to the highest possible level,” said Tyehimba Kafele, the band’s marketing manager for Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Other standout songs on the album include “Jah Blessing” featuring Sean Paul, as well as “Shake Dat Bumpa” ft. Busy Signal, as well as “I Wanna be the One” ft. Etana, the latter of which is now climbing the Jamaican charts. The final mixing on the double album was done by James “Bonzai” Caruso who is a four- time Grammy Awards winner.
