Beenie Man ready to rock the dancehall faithful at Grooving in the Park tomorrow.

Since his famous clash at Sting 1993 with Bounty Killer that earned him the "DJ of the Year" title for the first time, Beenie Man has delivered many stellar performances including his memorable set at Reggae Sumfest 2008 in Montego Bay, Jamaica that some fans say was the best of the 3 day festival.

On the local charts, Beenie Man has had an impressive catalogue of hits including "Matie," "Slam," "Romie," "Old Dog," "Dancehall Queen," "Who Am I," "Girls Dem Sugar" (featuring Mýa), "Dude," "King of the Dancehall," "Back It Up" and chart banger 'Rum and Red Bull.'

His album on Virgin Records, 'Art and Life' was certified gold and won him the Grammy for 'Reggae Album of the Year' in 2001. In 2002, he scored with a duet recorded with Janet Jackson called "Feel It Boy." He followed with his 2004 remix of "Dude", featuring Ms. Thing, which cemented his fan base on both sides of the Atlantic. After numerous hit singles on the reggae charts, Beenie Man continues to have a major presence at all the major reggae festivals around the world.

With his USA visa and work permit in hand, the Doctor will return to the US for the first time in two years when he graces the stage at 'Groovin In The Park' on Sunday, July 1.
