International recording superstar Beenie Man is pulling out great audiences on his winter European tour which will pass through several countries, proving once again why he has been dubbed the ‘King of Dancehall’.

Earlier this week, Beenie Man performed in Yaam, Germany where he delivered a stimulating performance chock full of his old and new hit songs backed up with some very entertaining dance moves. “Fans in Sweden, Italy, Holland and France have also got a dose of the 'Doctor's versatility. The tour is going well, the promoters are happy with the turnout at these indoor venues. Despite the different languages and culture, it is quite evident dancehall breaks down all cultural barriers. Reggae and dancehall is having a resurgence in popularity in Europe,” Rohan ‘Blue’ Smith, Beenie Man’s manager told Splash. Beenie Man’s tour started on October 31st and will end on December 3, 2013. On Friday, he will hold centrestage in Le Noumatrouff in Mulhouse, France, and tomorrow, November 16th, he and the Zagga Zow band will perform at a show dubbed ‘Full Attention’ in Kaserne in Basel, Switzerland. On Sunday, he will be at the L'observatoire in Cergy, France, and next week Tuesday, November 19th, he will be at the Connexion Café in Toulouse, France. ISRAEL FOR THE FIRST TIME Beenie Man will head to the Middle East in late November where dancehall fans are eagerly expecting him to perform in Israel for the first time. “ Beenie goes to Israel on November 28th, it is his first show in Israel. Based on the pre-sold tickets the promoters are setting up a second show," Mr. Smith said. In the meantime, Beenie Man’s latest single, ‘The Realest’ produced by Good Good productions, continues to do well locally. The single is now on the FIWI Choice charts. Other singles, ‘Me and My Linky’, produced by Arif Cooper and ‘Soulmate’, a collaboration with Gyptian, are also generating great spins on FM radio in the Caribbean and North America. In the past, Beenie Man had been at loggerheads with the gay community who took umbrage to the lyrical content of his songs, and even picketed his shows causing several high profile cancellations. However, since he apologized last year in a video posted on youtube, he has achieved a quiet truce with the LGBT community. “We have had no problems with the LGBT community so far in Europe, and the US,” Smith said. He will be returning to Jamaica to perform at 'Bring the Sting’ for the 30th anniversary celebration at Jamworld in Portmore.
