Are Americans preconditioned to become victims in the Jamaican lottery scam? The intricate system of control set up to control white and black Americans by suggesting that it is their manifest destiny to become wealthy is actually the kind of preconditioning that makes the lottery scam so successful.
Success is what the American Dream is all about. Many people are motivated by the promise of a better life, hence they chase dollar bills all their lives in the hopes of living out the American Dream - a fantasy which only money can buy. So when a man with a Jamaican accent calls from an 876 area code promising wealth, they leap at the opportunity with both hands. The American Dream has become their nightmare. That is why Kartel can sing about reparation and his argument resonates so much with the poor and oppressed black people. My granny always used to say 'you can't cheat an honest man', i.e., a man who is honest cannot be cheated because he doesn't believe in the principle of getting something for nothing. Many of the persons who have been scammed have never entered any of these lotto games they have been purported to win. Just check it.
