Anthony Cruz hits out at 'buy-out' awards show Featured

Reggae artiste Anthony Cruz has hit out against what he calls 'buy-out' award shows, making specific reference to recently concluded Linkage Awards in New York. "We no buy out award, ah the Father gives the ultimate reward, in the streets, mi no see Beres song,'No Goodbye' win no award and that is the biggest reggae song inna dancehall right, that's just one example, weh the nomination fi dat de? Mi haffi straighten them up, we no fraida people," Anthony Cruz said.
"Managers and artistes need to stop buying out award shows, as a manager you are just cheating yourself and the artiste ah fool himself 'cause the artiste will never know his true potential. Be true to the music, real artiste dont buy them way through the business," he said via bb on Saturday night.
