It has been reported that two men were  murdered earlier this morning on Jarrett Street in Montego Bay, St James during a brazen daylight robbery.


"The Hawkeye agents got a tip about a robbery in progress but the robbers had more high-powered artillery than them. Three persons were shot, two killed, including a driver that works for the Chinese man at the market," one source said. "The man dem rinse out over 60 shots inna the Hawkeye vehicle."

Officers at the constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) confirmed that the shooting took place about 8:10 am but said they are unable to provide further details at this time.


However, reports reaching ONE876 are that two security guards, who were sitting in a company vehicle at the time, were also injured in the shooting attack.
