Detectives at the Duhaney Park Police in the Corporate Area have confirmed that a national athlete has lodged a report that he was attacked by a female at an event.

one876entertainment.com understands that the former national athlete, who was a patron at 'Chill', an all-inclusive party held at Caymanas Polo Club in St. Catherine, last week reportedly got into an altercation with a female patron.

The report said that the former national athlete was standing at the event talking to a girl when another woman, attacked in a drunken rage, hitting the girl and slapping the athlete who was forced to take evasive action and defend himself.

During the altercation, it is said that the female patron, was physically assaulted as the athlete pushed her to the ground. The athlete also received minor injuries in the tussle.

The female filed a report at the Central Village Police Station while the former athlete filed his report at the Duhaney Park police station.

Sources say the girl is not romantically or sexually involved
with the former athlete so reasons for the attack remain sure.

"The athlete said he was attacked by the girl who was drunk. She approached her, and he told her he didn't want to talk to her, and walked over to another girl. Then the girl attacked, slapping at him and the other girl, and in defending himself, he pushed her, and she fell," the officer explained in the report.

The girl, however, has filed a separate report at the Central Village police station, where she is alleging that the former athlete was the aggressor and she, the victim.
