Charleston's first breakout reggae band, The Dubplates, recently released their new album Box Full of Steel. The album debuted at #4 on iTunes U.S. Top Reggae Albums this past week. The Dubplates have a huge lineup of musicians, ranging between 9 and 12 pieces and have been playing together for over 8 years.

The success of Box Full of Steel comes much-deserved after years of providing tasty reggae jams to the lowcountry. During this time The Dubplates have worked with prominent musicians such as King Yellowman, Junior Reid, Mix Master Mike (The Beastie Boys), Future Fambo, Elephant Man, and Zumjay.
