As the dusk descended on the Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, at Buju Banton's "Before The Dawn" concert on Sunday, January 16, Nadine Sutherland's voice soared as she sang the " Universe song", it was a surreal and rare moment that performer and audience connected, creating magic that will be talked about for a long time.This display of sheer brilliance from an artiste re-enforced why Nadine Sutherland is regarded as one of the greatest vocalist and performer that Jamaica has produced.   

Miss Sutherland came and conquered, from her opening of her love songs of Rainbow and Babyface, to her breathtaking Universe song and her renowned dancehall hits, her audience were completely fullfilled by the veteran's performance. Her confidence on stage was emminent as she wooed her audience into the knowing that this was her time and they brought it. They were hers from the first note sang, until she exited the stage to a thunderous ovation.
She left Rebel Salute early Sunday morning excited at the prospect of supporting her long time friend and collaborator on some of her many hits, fuelled by this knowledge, her performance reflected this. The Universe song a song recorded by Nadine for Donovon Germains Penthouse Records is now one of the most requested songs by disc jockeys and reggae listeners alike, gaining popularity by the touching and poignant rendition at the "Before The Dawn" show.
