US-based Jamaican-born singer Nadiva Devereaux (Narda Malcolm) is extremely excited about her latest project a thought provoking single titled Don’t Hate which was done in tandem with her sister Neisha Robinson-Reid.

The two sisters grew up singing together in Roehampton, St. James but they have never made a recording together before.

Nadiva said she didn’t know that her sister wanted to record a song with her until Neisha told her last December when she visited her in North Carolina.

“My sister and I are very close, we grew up singing together, so we’ve always had that musical connection, but we’ve never recorded together before. I was so elated when I found out that she wanted us to do a song together. As soon as she told me I booked the studio time for the project right away,” said the entertainer who is also a professor at the North Carolina Central University.

Nadiva also added, “This song means a lot to both of us, it’s  very personal, it’s about our struggles growing up in Jamaica.”

According to Neisha working on the project with her sister is a dream come through.

“I’m so happy that Nadiva and I finally have a song together. It’s my first recording, it has a very positive message, and I’m hoping that it will reach the people. Even if it’s not a hit I will still be happy because this is something I’ve always wanted,” she said.

The song which was produced by Nadiva for her Nadiva Music imprint is slated to be released on Itunes and Amazon before the end of June.
