Jamaican-American rapper XXxxtentacion is the first artiste to score a posthumous number one song on that chart in a lead role since The Notorious BIG's Mo Money, Mo Problems topped the chart in 1997. Biggie also had Jamaican roots. 

The rapper, whose given name is Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, succumbed to injuries on Monday, June 18, following a shooting incident in Deerfield, Florida. His mother and father are Jamaicans.


Nine of the songs from his most recent album ? are currently charting on the Billboard Hot 100. Sad, which peaked at number seven, has jumped from 52 to number one, displacing Drake from the pole position. 

Sad is also number one on Billboard's R&B Hip Hop Songs chart. The other songs from ? which are on the Hot 100 are Moonlight (which re-enters at number 16 and is also number 11 on the R&B chart); Changes (another re-entry at number 18, also number 13 R&B); Jocelyn Flores (mixed by producer Jon FX, re-enters the chart at number 19 and is number 14 on the R&B chart); F**k Love (re-enters at number 28, number 18 R&B); Everybody Dies in their Nightmares (re-enters at number 42, currently number 22 R&B); The Remedy for a Broke Heart (re-entry at number 58, number 29 R&B); Numb (re-entry at number 82) and the new entry Hope at number 80 (debuts at number 40 on R&B).
