Rohan Robinson — a resident of Galina, St Mary — has been charged with five counts of manslaughter, driving without a licence and without insurance. He was involved in the fatal accident that claimed the lives of five persons on May 27th, 2016.

He will appear in the St Ann Parish Court where a bail application is expected to be made on his behalf.

The Chinese-made 2007 Golden Dragon minibus had collided with the Rav 4 on the Landovery main road at about 7:10 am, after the driveshaft snapped.

The bus was heading to Brown’s Town after picking up 15 passengers in Ocho Rios.

The designated driver — 65-year-old Charles Jones of Mason Hall, St Mary — was one of those killed.

Only four of those killed have been identified. Apart from the driver, the others identified are: 43-year-old Kareen Johnson, school principal of Charles Town, Windsor Heights in St Ann; Odain Latty, a security guard and Kevin Minto, whose addresses are unknown.

The minibus is believed to be owned by a female police constable stationed in St Ann.
