Thousands of patrons showed for a rousing night of entertainment at day 2 of the Sweet 16th Annual St Kitts Music Festival last Friday, but while there were great performances from some of the artises. some got a mixed response from fans. The heavyweight lineup included artistes such as: Lovindeer, Eric Donaldson, I-octane, Courtney Pine, Morgan Heritage, Popcaan and Damian Marley.
Fans of all the artistes packed into the Warner Park as they jammed to great reggae music. Incredible performances from Damian Marley, Morgan Heritage, I Octane, Courtney Pine and Eric Donaldson set the tone for the night however, Popcaan got mixed reviews for his dancehall set as he performed without a backing band. The patrons were none too pleased with his habit of pulling up the songs in anticipation of a forward.

According to the St Kitts and Nevis Observer: "Fans were none too pleased with Popcaan’s sporadic and disjointed performance. The Jamaican artiste seemed unable to render his hit songs with any success in terms of crowd response and his constant “pull ups” after a few lines of each song did not go over well with the massive audience either. His repeated catch sound of “Yeeeoooow!” was the butt of many jokes  the following day for those who said he sounded like a “hungry cat” instead of an artiste with chart-topping songs.
