If you love roots rock reggae and are looking for a new jam then search no more because the latest album Brighter Days by Grenadian Canadian artist Lyndon John X (LJX) is a classic example of new school reggae with an old school approach to roots music.

Recorded and produced in Toronto by Jamaica’s own Shane ‘Shaky J’ Forrest, Kingstonians will recognize the sound of one of their greatest musicians come through on the album.

The title track and 1st single from the album has set the airwaves ablaze with its positive vibrations and was featured on Canada’s largest CTV news network Canada AM. LJX’s live news performance marked a historic moment in Canadian broadcasting as a reggae artist has not been featured live on national TV for over a decade. Brighter Days is currently charting in Canada and on rotation in Jamaica at BESS FM where you can phone or email in to Princess K and request the tune.

LJX’s sound has been compared to Steel Pulse and Bob Marley which are both honourable comparisons but his vocals, skank and overall sound are truly original. In addition to playing across Canada to promote his sophomore album LJX is currently working on his 1st major music video, preparing for upcoming international tour dates in the New Year and in talks for an exclusive distribution deal that will expose his positive message to Africa, Japan and make him more readily available throughout the Caribbean.

LJX is also currently charting online at Reverb Nation where his page is updated weekly in order to keep fans in the know about Lyndon John X. If roots reggae is your ting that stay tuned for more music from LJX and be sure to check out his page at www.reverbnation.com/lyndonjohnx
