This year's Tipsy party held at Drax Hall Beach was a wonderful event. Patrons filled the venue attracting party goers from overseas, regular party-goers from Kingston and local communities in St. Ann. This all-inclusive event ran hard on rum and Red Bull and everybody partied up a storm, swilling drinks and jigging their bodies to the latest dances. Roxie, the 106 and park hostess from BET was a real crowd pleaser as she used her flirtatious charm to convince varrious patrons to strut their stuff and wine for the amusement of the audience.

Toya kicked off the artist segment at 10:40 hitting the stage with fire and aplomb with her signature song, Hot Like a Fire. Toya, dressed in a skimpy black lace up bustier and tight shorts, was an immediate crowd pleaser with her refreshing style. She then went into the Boss Lady song and fans sang her song word for word. Then she unleashed her current single 12 Speed Blender, then she squatted down on the stage where she could give them a taste of real dancehall flavour and of course, tips to 'hold the man'.

ImageHer moves were an immediate crowd pleaser for the gents but a few of the ladies hated on her a little bit except for Roxie who could not get enough of the real dance hall vibe. Toya and Roxie was seen earlier talking to each other in the VIP lounge where various VIPs like the top ziptocrat himself DJ Bambino, DownSound head honcho Josef Bogdanovich, Julian from the Alliance, and super sexy ladies dressed to kill milled around and chatted up a storm. The young Alliance member Dada was up next but even though he delivered his songs well, he failed to rock the crowd. Fambo has gone through a resurgence with his career since last year's runaway hit, Rum and Red Bull, he lipsynced through a number of tracks and had sections of the crowd under his spell. However, he was a mere appetizer for what would come when Mavado hit the stage.

ImageMavado has emerged in recent months as a consummate showman, and he wowed the audience, particularly the ladies with hits like Pepper, Stulla and Stulliesha. He certainly appeared to be having a wonderful time and that joy translated to the stage where he thoroughly entertained the large party-crazy audience.
