US based dancehall recording artist M-Gee is channeling his energy into the development of his career. The fast rising singjay is working hard to take his career to the next level and is keeping away from all negativity.
“I’m totally focused on the development of my career; I have no time to concentrate on anything else right now. It’s all about the music for me, at first I wasn’t very interested in it as a career, but I love singing and people always encouraged me to pursue it as a career. Things have been going really well for me so far and I will not allow anyone or anything to throw me off the path to success.”
The Kingston native is currently the hottest dancehall act in Philadelphia. With controversial hits such as Never See Come See and No Tail under his belt he has become a favorite amongst dancehall fans in that part of the US. His popularity is also spreading across other US territories such as New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Florida.
“Right now I am a hot commodity in Philly the fans can’t get enough of me. Every time I touch the stage they go crazy. I have two of the biggest dancehall tunes in the states right now; Never See Come See and No Tail, said the artist.
According to M-Gee some people in the music biz view both songs as a diss directed at a certain popular deejay that is also based in Philadelphia. However M-Gee is adamant that he did not record Never See Come See or No Tail for that purpose.
“I didn’t do these songs to offend anyone in the music industry, both songs are reality songs I am just singing about what I see happening in the dancehall both in the US and in Jamaica. It’s a known fact that a lot of frighten people are out there showing off on other people just because they have some money, some bling and a bag of followers or what I term as tail in my song behind them.”
M-Gee was recently in the island, while he was here he did the promotional rounds appearing on a number of popular radio and television programs including HYPE TV’s Up & Live
