National cyclist Marloe Rodman, whose motorcycle caused the death of a man, may soon be facing criminal charges after a stunt went horribly wrong.

The dead man has been identified as Anthony Gordon of Gordon Pen district, St Catherine.

Rodman is likely to face several breaches of the Road Traffic Act.

Reports are that on Sunday at about 1 a.m., Rodman was driving his Honda CBR R600 motorcycle along Gordon Boulevard in St Catherine.

Barnes said information is that Rodman was allegedly doing stunts with the motorcycle when he lost control. The bike then fell on top of Gordon, who was seated on a stationary bike.

Both bikes were extensively damaged and bystanders managed to pull the CBR off Gordon.

Both Rodman and Gordon were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where Gordon succumbed to his injuries.

Rodman was subsequently transferred to the University Hospital of West Indies, where he has been admitted in serious condition.
