Dancehall singjay Unknown Gringo is the next rising star from the second city of Montego Bay. He demonstrated that in no uncertain fashion with a mature and energetic performance during the 'JB Outa West' show at the Dump Up beach in Montego Bay over the weekend. 

Hitting the stage as one of the night's earlier acts, Unknown Gringo was dressed in full black with a gold vest and matching gold and black shoes. 

 

"Dem fi know say ah the Unknown Gringo Boss, oonu ready Mobay?" he asked. 

 

The response was overwhelming and immediate as horns, cheers and vuvuzelas spanked the cool night air. He sang the first couple of lines of his trademark 'Tank Up' hit and the forward was so huge that he was forced to pull up the song. He walked away, wiped his face and did the song again while members of the crowd sang it word for word. He then introduced his next song. 

 

:"Ah Flankers mi come from, mek me see all the real real, go so blow blow. Mi see some bad mind bwoy ah tell me say mi caan mek it inna life, dem a talk up a bagga tings and mi rise and buss and buy a brand new Benz, weh dem feel like?" he said, then sang the opening lines of 'Bingo Mi Bingo'. 

 

The crowd went wild. He was forced to pull up the song and start it from the top. 

 

"I am the maddest, we ah the baddest, la este en el baddest," he said.

 

Unknown Gringo closed his set with the song, 'Brawling Death' exiting to loud cheers from the audience. 

 

The other artistes on the show were Shane E, Jovex, Keneil Merital and Teejay.

 

He is booked for 'Pool Madness' on December 15th, in St James,  'Cold Front' on December 22 in Jackson Town, Trelawny, plus confirmed bookings for shows on December 24th in St. Elizabeth, as well as Britjam next yea
