Police have identified the two people who died in a shooting at a bar in Porus last night as 49-year-old St Clair Jordine, also known as 'Patcha' and 52-year-old Marcia McKenzie, also called 'Chrissie'.

A 70 year-old man was also shot and injured. He is in hospital in serious but stable condition, the police say.

Reports are that minutes after 10:00 pm three men entered the bar and opened gunfire hitting the three people.

McKenzie is said to have died on the spot while Jordine and the 70-year-old man, whose name is being withheld, were rushed to hospital where Jordine died. All three received gunshots to the abdomen, reports say.

Police believe Jordine, who has a criminal past and was deported from Britain sometime ago after serving time in prison there, was the intended target.

Police are also investigating allegations that Jordine may have provided safe haven for the late Issachar Williams who was on the Manchester police most wanted list until he was killed in a confrontation with cops in mid-2017.

Investigators believe the shooters in last night's incident are from Clarendon.
